Tonsilectomy with Tim
I had my tonsils out last week. I know, those are supposed to come out when you’re a little kid…and I hear it’s much easier when you’re, ahem, not in your thirties. Either way, I didn’t know then what I know now, so here I am: in bed five days later, ready to move on, but still feeling a little woozy every time I get up.
Enter Tim Gunn. He’s been my elegant companion through this entire ordeal. (At least when my darling husband hasn’t been waiting on me hand and foot…that’s been ni-ice.) I first came to like and respect Tim on Project Runway, and I received his book for Christmas. Knowing I’d have some stuck-in-bed time coming up, I saved up seasons 1 and 2 of his show, Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style. It’s been loads of fun, watching emotional makeovers, seeing all the lovely clothes, handbags, jewelry and makeup, picking up a gazillion style tips, and now I want to hop out of bed and pull a designer wardrobe out of my closet! Shazam!
Okay, so that’s not likely to happen. But at least I’ve been able to enjoy part of my down time. And I have a few ideas I need to follow up on when I’m able to bust out of this joint. What’s your favorite sick-time escape?

I hope you feel better soon! Didya eat lots of ice cream? It must be hard to not be able to get up and do things. My down time includes lots of tv, reading, and net surfing.
Thanks Esther! I will feel better soon. I did not eat lots of ice cream…contrary to popular belief, dairy products aren’t so good for um, coating the throat with yucky stuff…so I’ve stuck with frozen fruit bars and smoothies and Cream of Wheat and pureed chicken soup. Not all at once. 😉 Sounds like you do down time about the same as I do. I’m so thankful for technology…don’t know how anyone could handle being sick without TV and high speed internet connection!
But the real question for me is…did you loose weight? If so, I’m heading to the hospital ASAP!! J/K I hope you are feeling better.
BTW, you obviously don’t need to loose any ~ I was just being a geek. (Which I’m sure you figured out, but in any case…)
